What We Collect

Green the Strip collects the minimum information needed to operate the service:

• Email address — used for sign-in (magic link authentication) and notifications about gardens you're involved in
• Display name — shown to other users (first name and last initial)
• Location data — only when you voluntarily draw a garden boundary on the map or use the “near me” feature
• Photos — only when you voluntarily upload photos of hell strips
• Garden interest data — what garden types you prefer, volunteer roles, and pledge amounts

How We Use Your Data

• To operate the garden coordination features of the app
• To send you email notifications about gardens you're involved in (you can stop participating at any time by leaving a garden)
• To display your name and roles to other participants in gardens you've joined
• To generate homeowner letters that include participant names

What We Don't Do

• We do not sell your data
• We do not share your email with third parties (except our email provider, Resend, for sending notifications)
• We do not track you across other websites
• We do not use your data for advertising

Data Storage

Your data is stored securely in Supabase (our database provider) and Netlify (our hosting provider). Photos are stored in Supabase Storage. All data is transmitted over HTTPS.

Your Rights

You can:

• Leave any garden at any time (removing your interest and roles)
• Request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us
• Access your data through your profile page

Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication (keeping you signed in). We do not use tracking cookies or analytics cookies.

Children

Green the Strip is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

We may update this policy. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
