What This Is

Green the Strip is a free civic tool that helps neighbors in Springfield, MO coordinate to transform hell strips into gardens. By using the app, you agree to these terms.

Your Account

• You must provide a valid email address to create an account
• You are responsible for your account activity
• You may only create one account per person

Your Content

When you post content (photos, comments, garden data), you:

• Retain ownership of your content
• Grant Green the Strip a license to display it within the app and in generated materials (like homeowner letters)
• Confirm that you have the right to share the content (e.g., photos you took yourself)

Acceptable Use

Don't use Green the Strip to:

• Post false or misleading information
• Harass other users
• Add strips maliciously or to prevent others from gardening
• Upload inappropriate or offensive content
• Attempt to access other users' accounts

Important Disclaimers

• We are not a legal authority. Information about Springfield ordinances is provided for convenience. Always verify with the city before making changes to public right-of-way.
• We do not guarantee accuracy of area estimates, addresses, or other calculated data.
• Garden planning is at your own risk. Green the Strip provides templates and connects you with experts, but we are not responsible for garden outcomes.
• Homeowner permission is your responsibility. We provide tools to help, but you must get appropriate buy-in before planting in front of someone else's home.
• Always call 811 before digging. It's the law in Missouri.

Availability

Green the Strip is provided “as is.” We don't guarantee uptime or availability. We may modify or discontinue the service at any time.

Limitation of Liability

Green the Strip and its creators are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to property damage, disputes with homeowners or neighbors, or failed garden projects.

Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
